On DragOnce platform, user actions are either performed in Design Time or Run Time. Design Time is the interface for back-end design and management purposes, usually only accessible by admin-level users. Run Time is the interface facing end users for real operation, accessible by all active users.
Although DragOnce provides various services, including App, Circular and Messenger, when we mention Design Time / Run Time here, it usually refers to App Management specifically.
Design Time of App Management is only accessible through DragOnce Web Portal. Users are not able to manage/design Apps on mobile devices. But Run Time of Apps can be accessible through both web and mobile devices.
Let us walk through the interfaces of Design Time in App Management on DragOnce Web Portal, in order to get a bigger picture of what actions can be done during Design Time.
Apps are created, designed and managed here. By clicking on an App, users can access more tools to design an App.
Inside an App, pages refer to the different pages that the App can open during operation. Click on a page to design its look and configure settings in ‘Page Builder’.
Workflow is the flow of form records from state to state, from users to users. Clicking on a workflow on this list, the user can design it and configure its settings in ‘Workflow Designer’.
Reports are dynamic PDFs that present output data. Click on a PDF report on this list to enter ‘Report Designer’.
Users can determine the header, default homepage, tabs of the web version of an App here.
After converting pages to the mobile version in Page Builder, mobile pages can be inserted here. This determines how the App will look on a mobile phone.
User’s permission to run pages, read data and save data on the App can be set here. This setting applies to the whole App.
When you finish designing an App, you can package the App to another environment. Packaged Apps will appear on the ‘Package List’ in the selected environment. After some time of processing, users can install the App in the environment. Installed Apps in the developing environment will be available for use on ‘Launch Board’.
App data and designs can be backed up and restored here.
If not involved in App Management, end users only have access to Run Time interfaces. Let’s have a look at the interfaces on the DragOnce web portal.
End users click Apps on the Launch Board to use Apps.
When using Apps on computers, under the App’s web header, end users see the web view of the App pages.
