An environment is a mode on DragOnce platform that serves a particular purpose. We have 3 types of environments on DragOnce.
Developing: For designing applications
UAT: For testing purposes
Production: For running application
They are separated so that designing, UAT and running applications can be done separately without affecting one another’s functions and data.
The data stored and user permissions in each environment are separate and independent from one another. This means that changes made in one environment won't affect the others.
Only the Root Administrator can decide the permissions of users’ accessibility of App Management to different environments.
Developing and Production environments are ready by default, you can add other environments (e.g. Testing or UAT) for your needs.
A new subscriber is defaulted to have no Testing Environment. Root Administrators can add up to 8 Testing Environments by themselves.
Here's how to do it:
1.Go to the Admin Panel from the top right-hand corner.
2. Click on the 'Environments' icon. Look for the '+ New Testing Environment' area and click on it to add a new environment.
3. The New Testing Environment page is shown.
Input the desired 'Environment Name' to identify the new environment.
Specify the Testing Email's Subject and Content for this environment.
Assign yourself as the 'Environment Administrator' to manage this environment.
Other optional inputs are ‘Design Team’, ‘Deployment Team’ and ‘User Access Control Team’. Email Subject and Content are added to the one you set in the workflow edge.
Now you can assign users to different roles by clicking the ‘Choose User’ icon and then select and confirm the users. Click the ‘Done’ button to confirm the user and roles assignment or click the ‘Cancel’ button to cancel the editing.
