When hitting “Update Value” & “Reference Table Triggering”, the action will be processed immediately. Otherwise, the actions, according to “Checking Tier”, will be kept in queue and processed one by one.
Below cases are describing the operation flow of updating the “Staff Info” on different organization chart levels:
Case 1
Start | Department > Company > Create Record > Staff Info | End
Case 2
Start | Team >Department > Company > Create Record > Trigger Edge > Staff Info | End
When comparing the above 2 cases, the main difference is handling one more “Trigger Edge” on case 2.
According to “Operation Sequence”, “Staff Info” will be updated when step 5 is finished on case 1; However, for case 2, if the setting is unchanged, then “Staff Info” will be updated even missing the latest value on step 7 & step 8. To solve this issue, “Trigger Edge” is required to update the value on “Staff Info” by Auto-Update on changing workflow state, which will be triggered at the end of step 8.
