App Backup

What is it?

App Backup is to let the Administrator restore and roll-back the entire App, including ALL the associated data to a particular timestamp. It is recommended that you carry out the process during system downtime or non-peak hours with proper user notice. 

When to use the App Backup?

It is common for organizations to have weekly or daily backup. In case of data crashing, doing a backup prior to your App Update can give you a restoration point in case of logic or setting errors of your new app. 

How to do an App Backup on DragOnce?

1. Go to the environment that you wish to backup your app.

2. Mouse over the “More” icon of the App and choose ‘Create Backup”/”Create Release”

3. Click OK to continue the backup process.

4. Give a name for your Backup. You may consider using Date and Version number as the name.

6. From the left hand side of the screen, tab on the ‘Backups” icon then you will see your backup created.

Create a routine for your Backup

To safeguard your application and data, it is crucial to create backups on a regular basis. We recommend initiating manual backups at appropriate intervals to capture the most up-to-date version of your application and its data.
